AUTOBIOGRAPHY
My name is Rainier T. Ibarreta 37 years of age, Born on the 24th of October, 1983
in MakatiCity, Philippines. Second of four children of Reuben and Teresita Trieste.
I am residing at Poblacion Banga, Aklan. I am raised here in aklan at the age 3
years old to 9 years old then go to manila and study there. I graduated in high
school on 2001 then took up BSN on 2004, but I didn’t finished it and look for a
job. Then 6 years being a Property Consultant in manila. I decided to go back here
in aklan to establish a coprahan business, but it didn’t go as I planned. Then 2
years ago my uncle gave me the opportunity to continue my nursing course and
immediately grab the opportunity. Now I am motivated to reach my goals and
excel in this chosen field of interest.

1. Vaginitis - refers to inflammation of both the vagina and vulva (the external female genitals).
2. Genital warts - are small fleshy growths, bumps or skin changes that appear on or around the
genital or anal area.
4. APGAR score - is a quick way for doctors to evaluate the health of all newborns at 1 and 5
minutes after birth and in response to resuscitation.
5. Lanugo - is soft, feathery hair that can grow all over the body, most often on the back and
shoulders. Fetuses grow lanugo during the end of pregnancy, and newborns usually lose their
lanugo within a week or two of being born.
6. Vernix caseosa - is a white, creamy, naturally occurring biofilm covering the skin of the fetus
during the last trimester of pregnancy. Vernix coating on the neonatal skin protects the newborn
skin and facilitates extra-uterine adaptation of skin in the first postnatal week if not washed away
after birth.
7. Lochia alba -Is the name for lochia once it has turned whitish or yellowish-white. It typically
lasts from the second through the third to sixth weeks after delivery.
8. Lochia serosa - is the term for lochia that has thinned and turned brownish or pink in color.
10. Latching - on is the way the baby takes your nipple and areola into their mouth to suckle.
11. Episiotomy - is a cut (incision) through the area between your vaginal opening and your
anus.
12. Lamaze - relating to or being a method of childbirth that involves psychological and
physical preparation in various techniques (as controlled breathing and alternative birthing
positions) by the mother in order to reduce pain and facilitate delivery without unnecessary
medical intervention.
13. Dysuria - means you feel pain or a burning sensation when you pee (urinate).
15. Nocturia - is a condition that causes you to wake up during the night to urinate.
16. Show - is a blood-stained or sometimes bloody discharge from the uterus, often mixed with
plenty of mucus.
17. Placenta previa - is a condition in which the placenta lies very low in the uterus and covers
all or part of the cervix.
18. Schultz - a placenta that appears at the vulva with the glistening fetal surface (amnion)
presenting.
20. Amniotic sac - A thin-walled sac that surrounds the fetus during pregnancy.
21. Meconium stain - is the first stool your baby passes. But sometimes meconium comes out
before the baby is born. It goes into the amniotic fluid. This is called meconium staining.
22. Sitz bath - is a warm, shallow bath that cleanses the perineum, which is the space between
the rectum and the vulva
23. Uterine atony - is a serious condition that can occur after childbirth. It occurs when the
uterus fails to contract after the delivery of the baby, and it can lead to a potentially life-
threatening condition known as postpartum hemorrhage.
24. Diaphoresis - is a medical term for perspiration or sweating.
25. Uterine subinvolution - is a slowing of the process of involution or shrinking of the uteru
26. Endometriosis - is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that
normally lines the inside of your uterus
27. Hydramnios- is a condition that occurs when too much amniotic fluid builds up during
pregnancy.
28. Prolapse uterus - occurs when pelvic floor muscles and ligaments stretch and weaken and
no longer provide enough support for the uterus.
29. Circumoral cyanosis - refers to blue discoloration around the mouth only. It's usually seen
in infants, especially above the upper lip. If your child has darker skin, the discoloration might
look more gray or white. You might also notice it on their hands and feet.
30. Placenta accrete - is a condition in which the placenta (the food source for a baby in the
uterus) grows too deeply into the wall of the uterus. In a typical pregnancy, the placenta easily
detaches from the wall of the uterus following delivery.
