Motivation Letter

Motivation Letter (a motivation letter, motivational letter or letter of motivation):

is a formal document explains the applicant’s personality, drives, experience, and future goals.

- In order to land a job in any of the reputable companies, you have to learn how to write
a well-structured "Motivation Letter"
- It’s is a one-page letter that’s used to describe why you are the perfect candidate for a
certain position. It is usually attached to your resume
- A good motivational letter is a one-pager where you introduce yourself, your story, and
show your interest in the position or organization you are applying to

 When are you required to write a motivation letter?


1- You are applying to get admitted to an educational program at a college or university
(undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate)
2- You are applying to work at a non-profit organization
3- You are applying as a volunteer in an organization
4- You are applying for an internship in a company
 Format
1- Contact Details:
 To: ( recipient’s name )
- Find out who is in charge of deciding your fate and
address them directly in your opening remarks as:
Dear Mrs. Smith
- Avoid using gender-biased names, such as: Dear
Gentlemen or Dear Sir
- Avoid using general terms as: ( To Whom It May
Concern ) it impersonates the letter & detaches the
recipient

 Introduction

Introduction of the Motivational Letter: is a short, engaging pitch about yourself and why
you are applying. the following can be included in the introduction:

- Personal information ( Who are you and what do you do? )


- What are you applying for? Where? 
- An intro to the bulk of your essay. Mention the general reason on why you’re
applying, and then deep-dive in the bulk of your motivational letter

MAKE SURE your introduction captures your recipient's attention and encourage them to read
on, so you may include details about your personal achievements in this section

 Body

Body of the Motivational Letter: the main bulk of your motivational letter. This is where you
really sell yourself, mentioning stories behind your achievements, skills, and passion for
whatever you’re applying for.

- Be as factual as possible
- Focus on your strengths rather than your challenges or limitations
 Conclusion

Make sure that your conclusion stresses the following:

- Briefly summarize your main points


- Mention your overarching goal
- Thank the reader
- Add your contact details, such as your email so that the recipient can respond to your
letter
- Don't forget to add your signature after completing your conclusion!
