Re: Pennsylvania “Forensic Audit” of 2020 POTUS Election [PART CLXXIX] – PA Senate
{}

The avalanche of sudden-entries—such as Connecticut hedge fund CEO David McCormick

and possibly Philly’s George Bochetto (who has had high-profile legal cases)—won’t affect
the Senate race. Oz initially (from Dec. 3-5) polled strong per “Data for Progress” (the
pollster for Dem Lt. Gov. John Fetterman);in a general-election matchup, Fetterman
(supposedly) narrowly leads Oz 44-42 among likely voters (margin of error = +/- 4%).

The Delaware Valley Journal published an opinion-piece [concluding Oz “might fizzle out
quickly despite celebrity, money, and connections….I don’t think he is harming anything”]
and an article based on an Inquirer discussion of use of the honorific “Dr.” by Jeffrey Barg.
[I’ve known Jeffrey since the 1980s, when we met quarterly in Harrisburg as members of
the Coalition for a Tobacco-Free PA; I also wrote for his monthly, Physicians News Digest.]
When *Dr. Oz protested a newspaper’s omission of his professional title*, I wrote that
“Dr. Oz” [n.b., a LIB] should be addressed as are other physicians such as Dr. Barrasso:

Dr. Robert Sklaroff, an oncologist and hematologist practicing in Phila-

delphia said, “Regardless of how a public figure chooses to ‘self-brand,’
journalists must report what that person says and/or does by applying
standards that are identical to those invoked for all similarly-situated
people. For example, “doctors” Barrasso and Paul are portrayed as
“senators,” while each may be subsequently identified as a physician when
discussing medical issues. They are not subtly disrespected when their
activities are communicated without reference to their academic degrees,
so Dr. Oz should not feel miffed if his well-earned title is omitted from
news articles. {In short, his ego prompted him to bristle on a petty issue.}

Earlier, I had *commented*, “It seems he has not reflected the fundamental views of the
Republican Party, both regarding domestic policy (having supported a lot of progressive
Democrats) and foreign policy (having supported Turkey’s Islamist President Erdoğan).
From a medical perspective, he has hawked ‘miracle cures’ that aren’t based upon peer-
reviewed data. My major concern is election integrity and he has never—to my
knowledge—addressed violations of election integrity in 2020 which, in my humble
opinion, continues to be the major threat to democracy.” {A Lib columnist observed
braindead Oz hit rock bottom when he emitted pablum [“freedom's just another word for
nothing left to say”]. That Gingrich endorsed Californian Sands is another irrelevancy.
