Nowadays, e-commerce in Indonesia is so familiar and used of almost every modern even

the middle class of people who has a high fashion, style, and they have a facility to get anything
using their phone, computer, or other their device. It’s become opportunity for investment and
business men to develop their ability, to give a way to success, and to makes them easier to
distribute their business. Moreover, life style is the first thing for some people, its become their
needed for alive. And it will be a good opportunity to develop e-commerce in Indonesia. But
there are some difficulties too, such as internet connection that’s not good. It is become the
government responsibility to fix this problem, because e-commerce is important to increase
Indonesia’s economy.
So, I am absolutely agree with the opinion in the text, that Indonesia has all the potential
for e-commerce growth. First, Indonesia has been accelerating its internet backbone
development, The country aims to complete the development of the Palapa Ring optical fiber
installation that serves as the internet backbone for high-speed internet connections by the end of
this year or early next year.
Second, the government is committed to developing $414.6 billion worth of new public
works projects between 2015 and 2019. The projects include large-scale transportation, utilities
and information communication technology network development. 
Third, the online to offline (O2O) development has become part of the country’s e-
commerce growth strategy. The O2O aims to form strategic partnerships between the country’s
e-commerce firms and offline small-and-medium-enterprise (SME) retailers throughout the
archipelago.
