Break-out Title/Topic: Coping with Stress and Mental Health Resources Time

Introductions: I will begin by sharing a photo of the Blob Tree. I will discuss which blob
I feel represents how I am feeling. I will then ask the students to continue discussing a
blob that represents how they are feeling and pass to another student when they are

- In breakout groups of two, students will discuss different ideas of what they
can do to help relieve stress (ex. go for a walk, listen to music)
- When students return to the main room, they will share their ideas with the
group and will add their ideas to the whiteboard Breakout group

- Students will participate in a group quiz on the campus resources (ex. where
do you go if you are looking for an article?)
- Ask students if they developed any new strategies for dealing with stress
- Ask students if they have any questions

By showing campus resources, learning strategies for dealing with stress, and coming
up with their own ideas for stress relief, Students are able to develop strategies to
help cope with stress as well as identify campus resources.
