instructions will answer the most important
questions and provide guidance on how to
register at the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter
in order to apply for a Bildungsgutschein
(education voucher).

1. What is a Bildungsgutschein?

A Bildungsgutschein is an education voucher

issued by the Agentur für Arbeit /Jobcenter. The
aim of a Bildungsgutschein is to offer people the
opportunity to acquire new skills and find a job with
a secure future. The Bildungsgutschein pays for your
complete further educational training and allows you
to study for free at the Digital Career Institute.

2. How do I register at the
Agentur für Arbeit / Jobcenter?

01 Register online as a private person and make

sure to have ticked: [X] I want to submit an
application or register as a job seeker.

02 Create a username and password, accept the

terms and click continue.

03 In the next step, you will be asked for your
personal data. Please enter them correctly.

04 Then you will be redirected to the PIN code
Information: You will receive your PIN code in
the mail in the coming days. Only then can
you log into the eServices portal with the code
in the letter.

05 Congratulations!
The registration is now complete and you
can log in to the eService portal with
your username and password. You will
automatically be assigned a Job Advisor.

3. Who is eligible for
Bildungsgutschein?

Only after you are registered at the Agentur für

Arbeit or Jobcenter, you can be eligible for a
Bildungsgutschein. It is provided to registered
residents in Germany who are unemployed or soon
to be unemployed or be a registered resident in
Germany and on Kurzarbeit.

Please note that the Bildungsgutschein is not

guaranteed. The Agentur für Arbeit / Jobcenter
is not obligated to grant one to all applicants.
Upon reviewing your application and profile, they
will tell you whether or not you’re eligible for a
Bildungsgutschein.

What to do if you have problems
obtaining the Bildungsgutschein?

Advisor and you feel his/her decisions are
unjustified, simply make an appeal and write
to the Kundenreaktionsmanagement of
the Bundesagentur für Arbeit here. Explain
them your case, why you see this course
as necessary for your career and the issues
you’re having with your Job Advisor.

Bildungsgutschein at the
Digital Career Institute?

Congratulations!

There’s almost nothing standing in between you

and your future career in the digital world!

What’s next?

You will receive a blank Bildungsgut- schein from

your Job Advisor consisting of several pages, all in
German, but don’t worry, we’ll have you covered!

Your DCI education counselor will help you

throughout the entire process. They will guide you
through the translation and help you fill in all the
required information. Once your Bildungsgutschein
has been filled out and signed, we will return it to
your Job Advisor.
