Justin and Matilda talking over Skype waiting for Christine and Kate to finish their work and
join the conversation

J (in his room, tidy and professional) “Hello Matilda, how are you?”

M: (in her room, a little untidy) ”I’m fine…I guess”

J:”Doesn’t look like it, is there something wrong with you?”

M:”This quarantine thing makes me feel depressed and lonely!”

(Kate joins the conversation but she isn’t noticed by the two)

M: ”I miss hanging out with you and the others. I just don't know how to cope with my
loneliness”(with an angry voice but sad and sorrowful)

J:”Loneliness won't last forever... You should do those things you always wanted to do , but you
didn't have time to”

M:”Seriously Justin?I already did some, but it didn't turn out as expected, I got so desperate I
even made a schedule from scratch still I find myself stuck in my thoughts, and can't seem to
achieve anything”

M&J finally noticed K and greet her smiling at her

K ( in her kitchen) :”If you can't get out of your dark shadows then it is pointless trying, after all
it is quarantine, we can't do anything”

J: ”Don't mind Kate. You don't have to force yourself, just take it step by step”

M:”Like….. what?”

J:”You could try reading a fun book, or learn a new language.”

(C. joins the conversation, the orher greet her with a smile, Kate seems disappointed to see her)

C. Hi guys! What’s cooking?

K. well…I’m cooking spaghetti! ( pointing to the boiling pot)

C ( lively) ”Come on! it was a pun!, Matilda…you said you’re bored, have you tried helping
eldery people? If not, then you could start do this, it really means a lot. My neighbor…she is 90.
But since the quarantine has begun, no one helps her so I'd lend her a hand. I asked her if I could
walk her dog, Poppy everyday and if she could give me a list with the food and other things I
could buy from the market.

J: ”Damn Christine, that’s a really good idea!!!”

K: ”No, it’s not. You said she is 90 years old, right? Then why help her if she's going to die soon
anyway?”

J: ”Umm…” (interrupted by Christine )

C:”Come on, Kate! It's a moral obligation! You can't say this! Despite the fact that we are just
teenagers, this is the perfect proof that we can be useful in society, even in our current situation”

K: you know how I am…I am the tough type….anyway,,,what can we do? Everything look so
useless.

M. You can do…. homemade face masks...

K We can phone our grandparents more often!

J. See girls? We can do plenty of good stuff…and we don’t have to write the script to help.
Indeed…we are never too young to change the world
