divisions, using strategies such as the relationship between
multiplication and division or properties of operations.

We chose this app/software for this grade because we believe at
around this age it will be easy for them to understand/use and
they will be able to make a quick decision on which bar codes to
use to best answer the questions. Plickers helps collect valuable
data and monitor student progress with the use of just one
device quickly scanning over the whole class.
The teacher presents the class with a set of questions as an
assessment by scanning the students’ barcodes for their answers.
The teacher conducts this assessment by checking the number of
correct and incorrect barcodes each student holds up, and
assesses their knowledge of their ability to multiply and divide
within 100.
The role of students is for them to practice multiplying and
dividing within 100. They will also hold up their bar code to
indicate that they have answered the question and indicate their
answer to that question as well.
By using this app/software you can learn what level of
understanding each student has by the number of
correct/incorrect answers they have made once the assessment
has concluded. Depending on how many questions they have
gotten right, you can also learn what you need to go over again
what you need to re-teach.
