estimation, excise tax liabilities, including fines, resulting from the use of this counterfeit tax stamps on
these cigarettes with a total of P9.564 B in Pampanga and P26.29 B in Bulacan. Later on, additional
confiscated cigarettes around Davao City amounting to P 142.44 M have been also undergo destruction.
BIR's estimation tax liabilities was about 1.39 B including the penalties.

Another issue related to this is when Mighty Corp. settle its tax liabilities with an offer of P25 B and it will
shutdown its operations. According to the Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez when the value-added
tax from the sale and other expenses are charged, all in all the government will received over P30 billion
in additional revenue from Mighty's tax settlement. He also added that," it would be the largest sum
ever paid by a single corporate entity in the country's history".
