Let us define the Characteristic of OBE is divided into three

three Characteristics of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)

1. It is student-centered i.e., it places the students at the center of the process by
focusing on Student  Learning Outcomes(SLO)
students sa pang araw2 na pamumuhay nila at sa work place nila in the future.
Because everything that we do in the classroom that everything that we do is directed
towards for learners

2. It is faculty-driven i.e., it encourages faculty responsibility for teaching, assessing

program outcomes  and motivating participation from the students.

It has to be faculty-driven because faculty controls, the teachers control

robrix, si teacher mag identify ng success indicator in assign sports in
student work or learning output, si teacher ang facilitator ng learning
that’s what is mean by faculty- driven
The teacher should be motivated Outcome based education motivate
teacher to design learning that will be effective for the students or
learners.

3. It is meaningful, i.e, it provides data to guide the teacher in making valid and
continuing improvement  instruction and assessment activities.

Dito papasok yung Assessnment in OBE that should help teachers and school improve the way
they deliver instruction, improve the way of teachers skills, improved the way schools provide
learning opportunities for the students.

With the final part this semester we will try to understand kung ga anu kaganda, kung ganu ka
mag aaral

So that’s the characteristics of OBE

The implementation of outcome-based education on the subject or course level, the following
procedures are recommended:
1.
2.
3

To understand the procedure I will discuss one at a time

1. Identification of the educational objectives of the subject/ course. Educational

objectives are the  broad goals that the subject/course expects to achieve.

That ans the question why? Why we should teach this subject or course, why should
this learning content be understood will by my student, why should this activities be
completed by the learners?

They define in general terms the knowledge,  skills and attitudes that the teacher will
help the students to attain. Objectives are stated from the point of view of the teacher
such as "to develop, to provide, to enhance, to inculcate, etc."

After you identify so this is the second procedure

2. Listing of learning outcomes specified for each subject/ course objective. Since
subject/course objectives are broadly stated, they do not provide a detailed guide to be
teachable and measurable.

if na identify mona sya kung bakit mo kailangan ituro yung content, what will
happened after you teach them. After letting them learn this subject/course? Anung
mangyayari sa mag aaral ko? What is the end goal that I have for my students.
kanila.

Also, Learning outcomes are stated as concrete active verbs such as: to demonstrate,
to explain, to differentiate, to illustrate, etc. A good source of learning outcome
statements is the taxonomy of educational objectives by Benjamin Bloom. Bloom's
taxonomy of educational objectives is grouped into three (3).
∙ Cognitive, also called knowledge refers to mental skills such as remembering,
understanding, applying analyzing, evaluating, synthesizing/creating.
What do I like may learners to understand? That is cognitive
∙ Psychomotor, also referred to as skills, includes manual or physical skills, which
proceed from mental activities and range from the simplest to the complex such
as observing, imitating, practicing, adapting and innovating.
What do I like my learners demonstrate?or perform? That’s
Psychomotor
∙ Affective, also known as attitude refers to growth in feelings or emotions from the
simplest behavior to the most complex such as receiving, responding, valuing,
organizing and internalizing.
What do I like my learners exemplify? Or emulate? That is
affective

3. Drafting outcomes assessment procedure. This procedure will enable the teacher to
determine the degree to which the students are attaining the desired learning
outcomes. It identifies for every outcome the data that will be gathered which will guide
the selection of the assessment tools to be used and at what point assessment will be
done.

What are the activities that I would ask them to do for them to meet the end goal. For
them to meet the learning outcomes
Dito to be honest hindi ako mag huhugas ng kamay dito marami talagang mag aaral
including me na nag rereklamo na madami yung pinapagawa ng mga teacher peru
reklamo lang ng reklamo .
Without even realizing that the more the activities that teachers are given to their
students is actually a manifestation of how teachers are thinking of good learning task
for students to avail to meet the learning outcome.
That activities are require for students
to complete because teachers believe that such activity would be contributory towards
the attainment of end goal of learning or learning outcomes.
