PROPOSAL FOR ASCIENCE SOCIETY

To nurture and support an interest in science out of the basic study space and the need to introduce
students to the experiential form learning that would not only help them in their years at the university
but also contribute in their overall development. Based on the interest of the students in science, we
propose to set up a science society in our school with the following objectives and measures.

OBJECTIVES:

Host Science Exhibitions & Workshops. This would motivate and equip the students in applications of
science and its interface with society.
Encourage students to participate in experiential learning through projects and experiments to further

Strengthen basic concepts and to eradicate the fear of science among students of younger classes.
Invite Industry leading speakers from various fields of science to share their leaning and encourage
Science aspirants

Prepare and try to send projects to the prestigious TechFest held at lIT Bombay and various other
science based competitions.
T o work and promote research related to the fields of Biology, Chemistry and Technology.
To host seminars on developments and issues related to the scientific industry.
Collaborate with a scientific foundation to increase student appeal and expand our interests.
Hold interactive talks on Career opportunities for students interested in pursuing their careers in scientific
research or any related field(s).
Green Drives to increase student and public awareness.
To collaborate with various science-based institutions, acclaimed literates and renowned researchers,
development organizations to create awareness on the wide spectrum of career opportunities available in
the field of science rather than limiting it to Medicine and engineering
 LIST OF MEASURES:

Membership to the science club will be open to all student from class V to XII.
We propose to appoint Dr Ulfat Baig our biology teach as the lead guide for the Club
Meeting with the Core members will happen once a month, Meeting time and schedule will be agreed
post discussion with the core committee members.
All meetings will be held on Microsoft Teams. The minutes of the meeting will be shared with Principal,
Headmaster, teachers & core committee members
For all science-based experiment, we propose to use the lab under the supervision of respective

teachers
Thereby request the respected Principal, Head Master and teachers to consider the proposal of seting up the
science club in our esteemed school.
