McDonalds is a fast-food chain corporation owned by the McDonald brothers named Richard and

Maurice. It has been the leading global food service retailer with more than 36,000 restaurants across
the globe. More than 80% worldwide and nearly 90% in the US. McDonald’s Restaurant are owned and
operated by independent, small- and mid-sized businessmen and women under the terms of franchise
arrangements or by affiliates operating under license agreements.

By streamlining their activities and launching their Speedee Service System of 15-cent hamburgers,
shakes and fries, in which they took a gamble in 1948. Then by 1950’s, when the traveling salesman, Ray
Kroc founded the McDonalds and convinced the brothers to sell franchises across the country. It was
then the start of the McDonalds growth and footprint.

McDonalds aim to serve quality food that consumers can rely on, and they strive to continually improve
the customer experience. They also set a new core values; Serve: We put our customers and people
first, Inclusion: We open our doors to everyone, Integrity: We do the right thing, Community: We are
good Neighbors, Family: We get better together. Their growth strategy, ”Plan to Win” is based from the
five basic concepts of customer experiences namely, people, products, place, price, and promotion.
They are dedicated to always improve their business operations to get better and not just bigger.
Nonetheless, despite the company's big competitors, they still never lose their values and continues to
give customers satisfaction which is also McDonald's Golden rule for their organizations success.
