Harmonization: The ii & vi Chords

Worksheet 1
The chords used will be the primary chords (I, IV, V7) along with the ii and vi chords.

1. Listen to the audio file "Real."

2. Mark the score where you hear chord changes. Listen especially for the sound of the minor ii & vi
chords.
3. Using the audio file called "Melody," check your work by playing along using the root of the chord that
you think is correct. Listen to see if your choices "agree" with the melody.
4. Using worksheet 2, write in your harmonization, and play.
