Duty of the Register of Deeds

X x x we declare it to be the duty of the register of deeds to accept the estimate placed upon the
document by the petitioner and to register it, upon payment of the proper fee. (Standard Oil Co. of New
York vs. Jaramillo, 44 Phil. 630, No. 20329, March 16, 1923.

The guidelines on the migration or re-registration in the personal property security registry of
instruments affecting chattel mortgage and personal properties registered in the chattel mortgage books
of computerized registries of deeds shall be pursuant to Land Registration Authority (LRA) Circular No.
12-2021, as amended by LRA Circular No. 18-2021 (copy hereto attached for reference).
