Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kyle:

My name is Reagan Mittler, a special education intern from Geneva College working with Mrs.
Mohr at College Square Elementary School for the past few months. After receiving your
approval to work with your son, Conner, on his reading skills, I am pleased to say what a great
son you have, and it has been a great honor to work with him. He actively participated in all my
reading lessons and had a positive attitude towards learning.

Conner has made wonderful progress these last few months. We have been working on his
overall reading skills and to memorize his high frequency words and be able to say them in
isolation and to be able to read them into context. Conner has worked hard, and his efforts
have been successful. I think high frequency words are still difficult for him to put them into
context and to be able to read them in a sentence, but I feel he has made great progress
towards to master the skill. He appeared to love all my lessons I planned for him, and the books
I chose for him to read for me. His greatest strength to motivate him to read is if someone is
there with him to help him along and if the stories are being read aloud. He was able to
understand that the skills we worked on, they will help him with his reading and being able to
understand what is being said in the story. I believe that his motivation to become a better
reader will pay off for him.

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to work with Conner. He has been a huge
blessing to work with and I will always remember Conner and his joyfulness as we worked
together.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Mrs. Mohr by calling the
school at 724-744-9126.

Sincerely,

Reagan Mittler
