Skill assessed: DR
Date: October, 2021

Topic: Reproduction and Growth

Title of Experiment: Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants

Aim: To draw, label and annotate the structure of a Hibiscus

flower.

Apparatus/Materials: hibiscus flower, scalpel, knife, ruler, pencil, pen

Method:
1. A healthy hibiscus flower was obtained.
2. The external view of the flower was drawn, labelled and annotated.
3. Magnification was calculated using the appropriate formula.
4. A scalpel was used to cut the flower vertically.
5. The longitudinal section was drawn, labelled and annotated.
6. Magnification was calculated using the appropriate formula.

Observation:
*DRAW, LABEL AND ANNOTATE EXTERNAL VIEW*

(Below diagram calculate magnification)

length of drawing( cm)

Magnification = length of specimen(cm)

*DRAW, LABEL AND ANNOTATE LONGITUDINAL SECTION*

(Below diagram calculate magnification)

length of drawing( cm)

Magnification = length of specimen(cm)
Conclusion: (What was achieved, what were the results of the experiment?)
