Overview

Globalization, Media and Communication Technology are the three intertwining concepts
highlighted in this lesson. But have you thought of which one influences another. One may agree
with the claim that globalization positively influences the media (Rantanen, 2010 cited in
Baniyassen, 2017). However, Sundaram, (2005) media is the cause in the creation of global
experience where the world becomes a global village. Whatever insights may be true, one thing
is for sure, communication technology always meddles in the picture of shattering many
boundaries around the globe; may it be in music, motion picture, clothing, food, gadgets, and
among many others that tremendous change our lives and the world we live in.
