Miranda- hey guys! What are you doing?

Mariana- hi, we are trying to find somenthing to watch on Netflix, but we are not finding
anything interesting.

Miranda- Oh, yesterday I found a documentary about active citizenship and I think you guys
might like it, but I´m not sure…

Mafalda- Ok then show us!

Miranda- I red that this documentary is about the participation of citizens in the community.
This action gives to all the people the opportunity to learn of real-life situations.

Mariana- Look! It has four episodes. Mafy, chose one!

Mafalda- Hmm.. let´s start with the first one.

Miranda- What did you think?, Mariachi?

Mariana- I found it really interesting but in reality I didn´t understand most of it...

Mafalda- Girlll, I got you! let me explain it to you, so in a very short way this episode was about
citizens trying to change our community and this only worked because there was
communication between them and sharing ideas and learning from other citizens made those
people want to change some mentalities in the society.

Mariana- Oh,ok! I feel you.. so the factors that shape our values and belifies are factors like the
media, the religion, the culture and the environment.

For example the media is the main means of mass communication (broadcasting, publishing,
and the internet) regarded collectively.

And the Religion is the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a
personal God or gods.

Miranda- Culture is the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement
regarded collectively

Environment are the surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or
operates.

active citizenship happens because people want to make the difference, democracy and
corruption

Mafalda- yeah! And this leads to fighting for human rights, volunteering, social integration,
education, and helping the ones in need.

Mariana e Miranda- Sure!

Mariana- okey!! I´ve heard this song before, this song is about A young woman who finds her
voice and tries to build a community and make some changes in the society nowadays, but like
we saw she can not to that alone, she even says that she doesn´t know how to chance,
however she still wants to be an active citizen.

Miranda-I agree with everthing you said , but I think you missed some main words like:

Mafalda- I think we can conclude that active citizens make all the difference in the community
since they fight four our duties and rights and above all our safety for exemple the movement
called black lives matter
