Discussion:

We conducted a small scale retrospective cross- sectional regional (Muzaffarabad ,AJK) study to assess the impacts Of covid -19 in pregnant women. This
study includes obstetrical effects as well as psychological effects on pregnant women. In this context, we ask a couple of questions from ladies with recent
deliveries .In response to our certain queries maximum subjects were positive 'bout experiencing their first pregnancy (60%) ,more than half of the
included subjects checked For normal vaginal delivery(60%). Only (10%) already had previous disease(Hypertension,Diabetes,Obesity) 10% of Women
suffered from complications in their previous deliveries. (98%) ladies were well aware and were told about the risk ofCovid 19 by the health
workers. (98%) were diagnosed with COVID-19 during their gestational period. Notably,of all the COVID-19positive subjects those only with
previous diseases did experience severe COVID-19 symptoms.About (90%) of positive ladies weren't in close contact with COVID-19 positive
people, of these subjects (98%) had nose swab test.On the same note, only (10%) underwent blood test for COVID-19. Diagnosed women
quarantined themselves (94%). Surprisingly, only (8%) of the spouses got tested for the disease. No babies were diagnosed with COVID-19
(vertical transmission was 0%). (96%) subjects were naturally anxious about the pandemic and it's possible effects on the baby. Merely 4% of
those who had severe COVID-19 symptoms experienced postpartum complications. Pandemic severely affected the regular MCHC accordingly
96% women. No changes in delivery methods, by their respective doctors were reported. 60% of the pregnant women were able to get
enough prenatal visits. Medical support regarding pregnancy and COVID-19 by health care providers were satisfactory, according to subjects i.e
96%.

Conclusion:
In conclusion,as per our study the covid -19 infection is associated with increased postpartum complications in
older subjects with severe symptoms and already existing comorbidities(Hypertension,

Diabetes,Obesity) .Anxious behaviour was seen in mothers regarding pandemic and vertical transmission. In
contradiction with international studies ,There was very little or no risk for vertical transmission.Although
casualities cannot be established from our study . These findings raise the possiblilty that vaccination offered to
preganat women may be useful to protect women from obstetrical risks ,in particular in high risk populations.
