Activity 7.

1
1. How does Jesus’ own poverty, and the witness of his encounter with the “other”
challenge you?

Jesus’ own poverty by loving the poor and give them hope, strength and courage. It
challenge me as a person in a way that knowing that all creatures and all I have now, little or big
things is all came from him. It gives me the courage to give and share to others all the blessings
and graces I received especially those person who is unfortunate. Loving God and serving on
Him is just a simple action how to show to the poor and to others what God brings with us and
what we learn in Him. Caring for and assisting the poor and needy is a commendable endeavor.
The more you provide to the poor and needy, the stronger their dependence becomes. You will
notice a significant and long-term improvement in their life if you offer them the chance or
opportunity.

2. When have you felt inspired by the work of people living in poverty to transform the
causes of injustice? How can you join or support their efforts?
In my opinion, I think the way of how those poor lived with contentment and joy, in that
case others may felt injustices. But technically I can join and support the efforts of those who are
poor, knowing as followers of Christ, we are called to prioritize the poor, which means creating
circumstances for marginalized voices to be heard, defending the vulnerable and evaluating
lifestyles, policies, and social institutions in terms of their impact on the poor. The poor choice
does not put one group against another rather; it encourages us to improve the entire society by
aiding the most vulnerable.
