Activity 8.

1. Where are the dignity of work or the rights of workers violated or protected – both in
your own community and around the world?
I think the rights of workers are violated in a way that they feel injustices and unfair
treatment by their respective boss or leader. They are protected in a way of giving them the
treatment that they deserve and they can work by the way that they deserve. People must service
the economy, not the other way around. Work is more than just a method to make a livelihood; it
is a way to stay involved in God's creation. If the dignity of labor is to be preserved, employees'
essential rights must be honored, including the right to productive work, decent and fair salaries,
the right to organize and join unions, the right to private property, and the freedom to economic
initiative.

2. How can our purchasing choices impact whether others’ rights are violated or protected?
As we know, human rights are like armour; they shield you from harm. They're similar to
regulations in that they teach you how to act, and they're similar to judges in that you may appeal
to them. They are abstract, similar to emotions, and they belong to everyone. They exist
regardless of what occurs. In terms of our purchasing power it gives impact whether others’
rights are violated or protected in a way of it may affect their emotions towards the other. It can
also give misunderstanding to each and every one. It may also affect the relationship of one
person to God in improving his/her decision making towards the others.
