1. Different types of business letters:

A. Apology Letter (Apology Letter)

Apology letter or apology letter is a letter used to apologize for mistakes that have been made.
This type of letter must be written with humility or with all humility to admit mistakes that have
been made. Using smooth and honest language that comes from the heart.

B. Confirmation Letter

Confirmation letters are also known as “letters of receipt” or “acknowledgment letters”. Letters of
this type are generally formal and brief. We can use a confirmation letter to provide confirmation
such as meeting schedules, accommodation and transportation ordered, letters or documents that
have been received.

C. Inquiry Letter

Inquiry letter or request letter in general is a letter used to request more detailed information
about the goods or services offered. But actually an inquiry letter is not always related to a request
for information, it can also be a request about a job or something else.

D. Thank You Letter

A letter that aims to further strengthen a business relationship by reminding that we are very
happy to work with him.
We can use this type of letter when our proposal is accepted, when someone is willing to come to
attend a seminar, or thank volunteers who have been willing to help in the event we organize.

E. Sales advertisement letter (the term is Sales letter)

Sales letters are used to introduce new products to new clients and customers. It is very important
to mention the problems of the clients and then provide the solutions with the products being sold.

F. Reply to letter of request for information

Replying or replying to business letters is very important to do. Customers who are interested in
our products are the best business prospects for us. Learn how to thank buyers and provide

G. Membership terms and conditions (usually called Account Terms and Conditions)

H. Order letter or also called placing an Order

I. Letter of claim or request for compensation (claim)

Unfortunately from time to time sometimes we have to apply for compensation for orders for

dissatisfaction and a statement of compensation in the form of a replacement of goods or a refund.

J. Letters replying to claims

Even though as the best businessman, you must have made mistakes from time to time. In this

N. Resignation Letter

A formal resignation letter must be discreet. Avoid writing things that will damage your good
relationship with the recipient of the letter. Give a good reason why you can no longer work at your
current place.

O. Notification letter not accepted for work

In some cases you will need to send a letter notifying the job applicant that he or she has not been
selected to fill an existing job position. At the opening of the letter, thank him for his time, praise
him for his experience or education and explain that he is not what employers are looking for at this
