Calibration of Thermocouple

Aim:
Calibration of Thermocouple.
Apparatus:
1. Temperature controlled water bath.
2. Thermocouple.
3. Temperature Indicator and controller.
4. Thermometer.
Procedure:
 Connect the temperature transducer to the front panel of instrument.
 Switch on the power to the instrument.
 The display reads room temperature as sensed by the sensor.
 Keep sensor and thermometer in water bath.
 Adjust the indicator reading to the thermometer reading.
 Switch on the heater.
 Note the temperature of water using the glass Thermometer.
 Note the temperature of water using the digital Indicator.
 Tabulate the readings in the tabular column and plot the graph of actual
temperature vs digital Indicator reading.
