Topic: Ice Plant and Cold Storage for DHVSU

The scope is to design an Ice Plant and Cold storage for DHVSU. The scope of designing the Ice plant is
the possible consumed ice of DHVSU if face to face classes will be resumed and for the cold will be
designed according to the needed temperature of what will be possible products will be stored.

The limitation is the source of power that will be used in the project. The Ice plant will be only for
DHVSU. Future researchers can improve it to produce more according to expanded setting of the
research and also the cold storage can be redefined according to the future need temperature.

Background of the study

As a student of DHVSU, the researchers know the situation of having a hot environment in the campus.
Having a hot environment, many products or materials cannot sustain the heat, that is why having a cold
storage can help those product especially dairy products that needs to stay and in cold place. Also,
having an ice plant can be profitable by selling ice to the vendors in that are placed in the campus. As
the students of DHVSU, we can say that the campus is a hot place.

Objectives

The objectives of the project are to produce ice according to the needs of DHVSU and to store products,
chemicals, foods, medicine and other things that can be stored in a cold temperature.

Significance

This proposed design of ice plant and cold storage may used for having a producer of ice for the vendors
inside the campus and also for the school activity and other purposes. For the ice storage, it can help the
campus to store its perishable products and other things such as medicines, chemical products that
needs to be stored in cold temperature.
