1. What is the difference between a product and a brand?

- Products are intangible and/or tangible assets that business people offer to
target customers while brands are marks or names that allow one’s products
to be distinguishable among competitors

2. How do local, international, and global products differ? Cite examples.


- Local products tend to provide only what is probably needed by a certain
locale or community, while international would focus on franchising such as
Jollibee and would only differ on ingredients added by the community taste.
Whereas for global products meets the wants and needs of a global market
with the same name and image throughout the world.

3. How can a buyer attitude about a product’s country of origin affect marketing
strategy?
- Let’s say for example Jollibee is local throughout some parts of the world and
the people there have different taste or likings to certain foods like in korea
they like spicy foods so, Jollibee marketing strategy is affected on the
strategy on how to create a more spicy products using their base products.
Meaning to say country from country differ and it affects the whole marketing
strategy of the business.

4. Identify several global brands. What are some of the reasons for the global
success of the brands you chose?
- Nike, vans, are examples of global brands, they are successful brands for
they establish their brand identity which is very crucial for a global brand.
IPhone for example, their quality products match with price.
