money to buy the drug will be forced to buy it at any price even if the drug price increase,
because they really need it to cure their illness. The higher the cost of prescription drug
threatens the healthcare budget and it limits the funding available for the other areas.

2. Pharmaceutical Monopoly that allowing him to raise the price of a drug by 5,000 percent.

3. Once that the new drug is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the
monopolies assured by patents enable pharmaceutical companies to charge at any price that
they choose. If the patent’s will be eventually will expire at which point Generic drug
companies can manufacture the drug and sell it at much lower price.
