FINAL EXAM

Name [LN/GN/MI]:SANORJO MARK CARLO M. Block:3b Date:_________

1. Figure below is a combinational logic circuit that the alarm will be activated
(ON/High/1) whenever the car is started and either of the front seats is
occupied and its seatbelt is not fastened. The active-HIGH signals DRVR
and PSNGR indicate the presence of the driver and passenger, respectively,
and are taken from pressure-actuated switches in the seats. The signal
IGNTN is active-HIGH when the ignition switch is on.

(a) Verify that the circuit will function as described. (You may verify it
through simulation either manually or using the Logisim. Show the
simulations. Briefly describe its operations. In what conditions do it fully
or partially met the requirements?)

THE CIRCUIT DID NOT MET THE REQUIREMENT BECAUSE EITHER ON

OR OFF THE IGNITION THE ALARM ALWAYS TURN’S ON FIGURE BELOW
SHOWS THAT WHEN IGINITION IS OFF ALARM IS ON IT IS THE
SIMULATION OF THE GIVEN CIRCUIT
(b) If not, analyze the circuit and make the necessary adjustments either
(c) by deleting or adding NOT or NAND gate/s to meet the desired outputs.

PROVE AND EDITED CIRCUIT

REVISED OR EDITED CIRCUIT WHEN IGNITION IS ON ALARM IS ON

REVISED OR EDITED CIRCUIT WHEN IGNITION IS OFF ALARM IS OFF
