Note on the guest tax ordinance of the city of Leipzig

Dear guests, we are dependent on your assistance!

The city of Leipzig charges a fee for guests. As a provider, we have to collect this from you. Of course, this is
quite a hurdle for our modern company with contactless check-in.
But since we want to continue to protect our environment, we are trying to make the process completely

There are 3 steps necessary for you:

1. send the registration form

On the following pages you will be guided through the registration form and can easily sign it digitally.

2. calculation of the guest tax

Please calculate the amount of your guest tax on your own.
The regular guest tax is 3€ per person and per night. Under certain conditions the tax can be reduced:

Price per person under 30€ per night

If the price per person is less than 30€ per night, the tax is reduced to 1€ per night per person.
If you are unsure, please refer to the link above. We can not handle all questions about this.

3. transfer / payment of the guest tax

Please transfer the guest tax to our guest tax account with the reference of your last name until your departure at the
latest.

Grund der Befreiung von der Gästetaxe (Reason for exemption from Guests Tax)

☐ Kinder und Jugendliche bis zum vollendeten 18. Lebensjahr

(Children and adolescents until they turn 18)

☐ Schüler, Studenten und Auszubildende vom 18. bis zum vollenden 25. Lebensjahr
(Pupils, students and trainees from the age of 18 until the age of 25)

☐ Schwerbehinderte Personen mit einem in einem entsprechenden Ausweis angegebenen Grad der
Behinderung von 50 oder mehr
(Severely disabled persons with a degree of disability of 50 or more indicated in a corresponding disabled
person´s pass)

☐ Begleitperson einer schwerbehinderten Person, wenn die Notwendigkeit der Begleitung durch
amtsärztliche Bescheinigung, Schwerbehindertenausweis oder Rentenbescheid nachgewiesen wird
(Accompanying person of a severely handicapped person, if the necessity of the accompaniment is
proven by official medical certificate, severely handicapped identity card or pension notification)

☐ Kranke, die ihre Unterkunft nicht verlassen können, nachdem der Betroffene die Dauer der Verhinderung
durch Vorlage eines ärztlichen Zeugnisses nachgewiesen hat
(Sick persons who are unable to leave their accommodation after the person concerned has proved the
duration of their incapacity by presenting a medical certificate)

Hinweis: Unrichtige oder unvollständige Angaben über abgabenrechtlich erhebliche Tatsachen sind
strafbar.
Die Behörden der Stadt Leipzig sind nach §§ 90, 93 AO in Verbindung mit § 3 Abs. 1 SächsKAG berechtigt,
sich von dem Unterzeichner, erforderlichenfalls auch von dritten Personen oder Behörden, Nachweise zur
Bestätigung der in diesem Meldeschein gemachten Angaben vorlegen zu lassen.
Note: It is a punishable offence to present incorrect or incomplete statements in respect of facts
relevant in matters concerning taxation
In accordance with §§ 90, 93 of the German Fiscal Code (AO) in conjunction with § 3 (1) of the Saxon
Municipal Charges Act (SächsKAG), the authorities of the City of Leipzig are entitled to demand the
presentation of evidence to confirm details presented in this declaration, if necessary also from third parties or
relevant authorities.

business relations and compliance of other statutory regulations. You have the right to request from the data
controller access, rectification, blocking or erasure of your personal data, or to object to processing, provided
the data is not mandatory for conducting business relations or there are no conflicting statutory provisions with
regard to deletion.
