Task 21-2 Business Profile
As part of JIB, Inc. implementation of
BPCS Client/Server at your Shop
Floor management wishes to
evaluate the system performance of
a shop order close. One of your
subordinates informs you that he
found a menu option for Shop Floor
Closeout and asks whether he can
use that application to do closes. JIB,
Guided Task Inc. has the Costing application
installed. You offer to do a
demonstration for him.

Task Statement (21-2)


In this exercise you view the window you would use to perform a Shop Order
Closeout.

Task Components
Viewing the Shop Order Closeout has only one component—view the
window and Cancel.

Navigation Path to Shop Order Closeout


Before you start the exercises, use the following navigation path:
BPCS Main menu  SFC menu  Shop Order Closeout (or SFC900)
View the Window and Cancel - Component 1
1. Use the Navigation Path to start this exercise.
The Shop Order Close window displays.

2. Notice the Purge Closed Shop Orders option.


To run this application in your business, type YES.

3. Notice the message Do Not Run SFC900 if Costing is Applied.


SFC900 is the program number for the window you are viewing. In our
scenario, the Costing application is installed. Therefore, shop floor
personnel should recognize this message as a warning and cancel use of
the Shop Floor Close program.

4. Press F12 (Cancel).
