to sending to the different testing laboratories for PCR tests;
o Collect nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab samples of probable and
suspected Covid-19 patients;

 Summary of Actual Duties

o Responsible for training newly-hired staff in performing phlebotomy and


laboratory procedures in the section of hematology; supervised, reviewed, and
evaluate work performance of subordinates
o Performed weekly maintenance of hema analyzers to ensure accuracy and
reliability of test results, and troubleshoots machines when needed; keeps
accurate records of machine calibrations and quality control results;
o Performed microscopic examination of body fluids for cell count and
differential count; hematologic examination of blood including peripheral and
bone marrow smear, coagulation studies, and clot retraction time; prepared
Wright’s and Giemsa stains used for the microscopic examination of
peripheral, bone marrow, and reticulocyte smears.

tissue cutting, hematoxylin-eosin staining for biopsy and autopsy procedures,
and immunohistochemistry staining for ER/PR/HER-2 testing;
o Prepared H&E stains, and gradual grades of alcohol and xylene needed for
staining of tissue slides; monitors inventory of section supplies;
o Performed regular maintenance of Tissue-tek and cryostat machines to
ensure proper fixation and embedding of tissue sections prior to staining;

 Summary of Actual Duties

o Rotates in various sections of the clinical laboratory (hematology, clinical


microscopy, clinical chemistry, serology and blood banking, histopathology);
carry out stat and routine testing on a variety of specimens, and released
results accurately within the standard turn-around time;
o As a senior medical technologist for the shift, performed tasks in the areas of
clinical chemistry, blood banking and serology; ensures all tests and
procedures are performed for samples received during the shift and properly
endorses to incoming shift; assist subordinates and medical technology
interns; perform ward calls when needed;
o As a junior medical technologist: execute warding calls in all areas of the
hospital; performed duties and responsibilities in the areas of hematology,
clinical microscopy; sees to it that all samples and intended for microbiology
and histopathology were accomplished during the shift
o Assures accuracy and reliability of laboratory results by routinely performing
machine controls, and doing calibration when needed; operated an assortment
of laboratory equipment and performed various chemical and microscopic
tests; records quality control and calibration results;

HDL, VLDL, triglycerides), metabolic panel, ABG test;
o Performed chemical and microscopic test of urine and body fluids:
spermanalysis, cell count and differential count of CSF, synovial fluid,
pericardial fluid, pleural fluid, and peritoneal fluids;
o Culture body fluids, wound, and blood samples; prepare, and stained slides for
gram staining and acid-fast stain.
