The List of Establishments (LE)
The List of Establishments (LE) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is a database establishments in the Philippines
(whether registered or not in any regulatory body like the SEC, CDA or DTI).

The statistical unit of the LE is the establishment. An establishment is defined as an economic unit, which engages, und
single ownership or control, i.e. under a single legal entity; in one or predominantly one kind of economic activity at a sing
fixed physical location. The operational definition of establishment is the unit that is engaged in the production of the mos
homogeneous group of goods and services, usually at one location, but sometimes over a wider area, for which separate
records are available that can provide data concerning the production of these goods and services and the materials, lab
and physical resources used in the production.

Scope and Coverage

LE covers economic activities under the 18 industry major divisions as defined in the amended 2009 Philippine Standa
Industrial Classification (PSIC) namely:

It covers establishments based on their economic organization, which could be:

Ø  single establishment (No branch nor main office)
Ø  branch (Main office is located elsewhere within the Country)
Ø establishment and main office (Both located in the same address and with branch/es elsewhere)
Ø  main office only (Office of an establishment/s which controls, supervises, directs other establishment/s)
Ø  ancillary unit (An economic unit that operates primarily or exclusively for a related establishment or group of
establishments and produces goods or services that support but do not become part of the output of those
establishment)
and legal organization, which could be:
Ø  single proprietorship
Ø  partnership
Ø  government corporation
 Ø  stock corporation
Ø  non-stock, non-profit corporation
Ø  cooperative
Ø  other

Units not includedpeddlers

Ø  Ambulant in the LE(“maglalako”)

and hawkers and movable stall either along a public road or in a market plac

Ø  Open stalls in shopping centers, malls and markets

Ø  Individual professionals and technical workers or craftsmen who do not maintain fixed offices or shops
Ø  Construction or project sites
Ø  Sari-sari stores with no regularly paid employee
Ø  Retail sale via stalls and markets
Ø  Jeepney and AUV (“FX”) operation (if without business office)
Ø  Tricycle, calesas, pedicabs operation
Ø  Public education services
Ø  Public medical, dental and other health services
Ø  Doctors offices or clinics in hospitals
Ø  Medical clinics shared by at least two doctors
Ø  Central banking (BSP)
Ø  Government administrative and judicial offices; military and police camps and installations; government offices
