Materials
One bingo card per student
Customize your worksheet by:
• Changing the phrases on the bingo cards.
• Rearranging the locations of the bingo card items.
• Adding information particular to your country.
Set-up (5 minutes)
Give one bingo card to each student. Draw a 4x4 bingo-card grid on the board. Write Find someone who… on top of
the bingo board. Write knows what’s on TV tonight in the top left-hand space.
Have one student come to the front of the class. Ask the student, “Do you know what’s on TV tonight?” If the student
answers “yes,” write his/her name in the top left-hand space. Then ask the student, “What’s on TV tonight?” Write
the student’s answer under his/her name on the board. If the student answers “no,” leave it blank.
Procedure (25 minutes)
Have the students stand up. Ask them to go around the room and ask questions based on the information on their
bingo cards. They can ask each student only one question before moving on to the next student.
The first student to hit bingo horizontally, vertically, or diagonally is the winner. If nobody hits bingo before time is
finished, the student with the most completed spaces is the winner.
Extension (10 minutes)
Write Do you know ____?, Can you explain ____?, and Can you tell me ____? on one side of the board. Write
when, where, who, what, how many, and other interrogatives on the other side of the board. Have each student
write four questions using different combinations of the language on the board. Then have the students go around
the room, asking each other the questions that they have written.
