 Aided group instruction and directed peer mentors for United Sound Band (Paige Vass, Daniel Upton,
J. co-teachers).
 Taught, guided peer mentors, and developed lessons/materials for Adaptive Music (inaugural year).
 Assisted in Mac Music 1 (Jacqueline Clifford, primary teacher), developed lesson on Vocal Recording
and taught lesson on Rock Drumbeats and Quantizing in GarageBand.
 Developed unit on rhythm counting and identification, created materials for and taught lessons on
assigned literature, playing fundamentals, and sight reading in Percussion I.
 Created/taught lessons on fundamentals, prepared and rehearsed assigned literature, and conducted in-
concert for Percussion II.
 Created/taught lessons on fundamentals, prepared and rehearsed assigned literature, and coached
sectionals for Concert Band (Claire Leeper, primary teacher).

Placement II: Skyline Middle School

Area: Band
 Developed a unit on lip slurs, perfect fifth intervals, and major triads for 6 th, 7th, and 8th grade
bands.
 Worked with individual students and small groups to address instrumental fundamental issues,
practice assigned music, and work more cohesively as a section and band.
 Assisted with the 8th Grade Basketball Pep Band, created arrangements for the games and adapted
music as needed.
 Adapted music for students in need of scaffolding or extensions.
 Selected, purchased, and rehearsed chosen repertoire with student ensembles.
 Conducted massed 6th and 7th grade bands on their first concert of the year (Nov. 2021).
 Covered for teachers in other elective areas (gym and home economics) as needed.
 Assisted cooperating teacher in programming lights for the school musical.
 Taught and planned all band classes, assigned written and performed work, graded said work, and
provided constant and consistent feedback.
