Do children under the age of ten need mobile

phones?

Today, mobile phones have become an indispensable tool in our

society and I believe that is true.

First, in addition to keeping in touch, it allows us to search for

information, access our accounts, among other things.

In addition, thanks to the fact that we can access the internet from
anywhere in the city, it allows us to do our things from anywhere.

On the other hand, many people wonder if children under the age
of ten needs these devices, my opinion are that they don’t because
they are very complex devices for them and according to studies
these devices can cause dependency in children and young people
in the long term.

In short, mobile phones are very useful in our society but for
children under 10 years of age they can be harmful.
Internet and the new generations

Currently, the use of new communication technologies has been

increasing, as more and more people, especially young people and
children, make use of the Internet. And in my opinion, the Internet
has revolutionized many aspects of our daily life.

First of all, the use of mobile technologies has made people more
hyperactive as they have developed superficial thinking due to
immediate computing and lack of concentration. This is reflected in
the habits with which the new generations grow up.

In addition, today's young people are aware of social networks and

viral trends on the Internet that are so systematic and repetitive
that they can negatively affect certain basic abilities to make a
critical judgment.

On the other hand, thanks to new communication systems, a large

number of young people have established their own businesses,
using the Internet to distribute products or make contact with
customers.

In short, for some young people the internet can be a prison with a
difficult escape, as well as a very useful tool for people who know
how to use it.
Do people spend too much online time these days?
Nowadays, social networks, streaming services and video games
have caused people to spend a lot of time connected to the
Internet and in my opinion it has caused some people to develop a
strong dependence on them.

First, mobile technologies allow people to connect from anywhere

with Internet access. According to some experts, this causes those
people to not pay attention to the world around them and I agree.

In addition, in some countries where this problem is more

developed, the authorities have proposed solutions to deal with it.
For example, in the Netherlands a traffic light system has been
implemented where pedestrian lights are on the ground, this
because people walk looking at their mobile phones and do not
look straight ahead.

In summary, the services that the Internet offers us are many and
some of these can cause us a certain addiction, we must bear in
mind that the Internet also offers us a series of useful tools to be
able to develop in this globalized world.
HOW TO BEHAVE IN A FORMAL CELEBRATION

Having a good behaviour at an elegant party isn’t complicated if

you start with good manners and common sense.

Greetings should be moderate, a cordial shake to strangers, and a

gesture not too effusive for acquaintances or relatives.

One of the signs of elegance is punctuality. Keeping people waiting

is rude, and an attempt to attract attention that other guests will
value negatively.

Try to be friendly in the conversation topics in which you

participate. If you don’t know them, don’t meddle, just as if they
deal with thorny topics related to politics, religion, etc.

If the event requires a gift or present, try not to be too ostentatious

or too personal. Find a fine detail, such as a bottle of wine or a box
of candy, and present it to the hosts upon arrival at the venue.

And finally, remember to drink in moderation. You don't want to

get drunk and put on a show while the other guests are in a normal
state.
HOW TO BEHAVE WITH A HOMESTAY FAMILY

I've stayed with several families in Britain and Ireland and each of
them has been different. But there are some key things I can pass
on about getting the best out of your stay. I hope they are useful!

Even though you are a paying guest there, take a small gift for your
hosts. You'd expect the same, I'm sure.

This is not just about learning English. British and Irish people will
expect you to show an interest in their culture.

Take some photos from home so that you can talk to your hosts
about them. Taking this will also give you more opportunities to
actually speak English. You're not a tourist, so don't behave like
one. Your host family will be getting on with normal life. That is
what you are there to experience! And finally, remember the
importance of being punctual (two o o’clock means two o'clock!),
polite (be careful with expressions you’ve picked up from pop
music and movies!) and sociable (join in with things-at least the
first time).
