Specific Instructions for Transferring Next BCCU’s

 This document is for suppliers to Next who are
providing BCI transactions -BCCU’s
● Next have specific requirements for BCI transactions
● The reason Next need to receive transactions in a set format is to allow us to
reconcile the transaction within our internal systems
● Failure to comply results in BCI transactions being lost
● Losing transactions creates work for suppliers, and Next having to follow up
and repeatedly ask for the transactions
● Please help to get these requirements right first time
● Where these requirements are not followed Next will return the transaction with
‘request for change’ where this option is available

Next transaction reference requirements
● Next’s BCI Platform ID is 1000866- Next Retail Ltd
● BCCU transactions should come from the final product manufacturer
● BCCU transactions can also come from the fabric mill providing Next item numbers and contract
numbers are included in the transaction reference
● Next cannot accept transactions without Next item numbers and contract numbers

Next require one clean string of data in this format.

Next 6 digit item number and 9 digit contract number. No other words, no spaces,
no tabs or returns.
E.g. 123456,AB1235689,753956,AB4926401,230254,AB4365428

Request for Change
Where a transaction comes to Next with the incorrect format, we will return in the BCI system with a ‘request for change’
Please make the changes so that they meet the requirements:

Transaction reference:
Next require one clean string of data in this format:
Next 6 digit item number and 9 digit contract number. No other words, no spaces, no tabs or returns.

Then return the transaction to Next ‘awaiting acknowledgement.’ To do this, click on the transaction and then “review” and
select the second option as follows:
