WEEK 14

1.Among the assessment tasks in speaking, which is the most effective to be


used? Why? (10 points)

-Among the assessment task in speaking, I mostly prefer to use the intensive, because
it contains the reading the text loud, sentence or dialogue, directed response task,
limited picture cued task and translation up to simple sentence level. The content of it, I
am sure that this assessment task will be more effective than the other.
LESSON PLAN IN ELT115 WEEK 14

I. OBJECTIVE

At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:

1. Avoid confusion in the message due to faulty pronunciation,


grammar, or vocabulary

II. SUBJECT MATTER

1. Topic: Speaking
2. Materials: Laptop, Projector, learning module, White board, white
board markers, eraser, reading cards.

III. PROCEDURE

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY
 Let them find a pair and let them make a short conversation and to be
presented in front of the class.
 Ask them if they really understand what they make.

B. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON


 Make a short sentence and let the student notice what is wrong in the
sentence u made.
 Ask one student to correct the wrong sentence you made.
ACTIVITY
 The teacher will give individual activity for the students which they will
have to make a short conversation in a 1whole sheet of paper and after is
to be read and presented in front of the class
 The teacher will be grading each student based on what they have written
and based on their grammar and pronunciation word by word.
ANALYSIS

 Remake the Preliminary activity you have given to them earlier and see if
there are any improvements in their work from earlier activity.

ABSTRACT

 Proceed to the discussion


 Enlighten them, correct their wrong works.

APPLICATION

 Knows how to pronounce words properly.


 Knows how to construct proper sentences for better understanding.

IV. EVALUATION

1. Explain how you can predict outcomes in two to three sentences. Then,
you need to predict what will happen next in the following situations.

1. A storm began suddenly. The lightening lit up the sky and the thunder
roared loudly. The electricity was blinking on and off quickly.
2. Marie is getting herself some soda. She begins to pour the soda and
her hand slips. Her soda is all over the floor. Marie knows her mom will not
be happy if she sees the mess. What you think Marie will do next?

V. ASSIGNMENT

1. Listen to a song entitled. “A mess for the end of Time by Franco”


2. Tell what the message of the song is.
3. After listening, predict what will happen next in the song.
