Welcome to InaACC 2022!
Acute and intensive cardiovascular care had developed tremendously in the past
15 years and become a specialized field by itself. Initially focusing in Acute Coronary Syn-
drome and Acute Heart Failure, this territory quickly expanded toward other aspects in
treating the acute and critically ill cardiovascular patients, such as respiratory support,
mechanical circulatory support, renal replacement therapy, etc. In addition, the growing
populations of patients with severe pulmonary hypertension and advanced structural
heart disease merit particular consideration in the formulation of a blueprint to meet the
expanding needs of our patients. As a result, physicians in the modern Intensive Cardio-
vascular Care Unit (ICCU/ICVCU/ICU) must be experienced in these complex modalities in
the era of even more complex patients. The physicians from primary to tertiary health
services are our main target to comprehensively understand the growing needs of acute
cardiovascular care in Indonesia.

It is our program from the Working Group on Intensive and Acute Cardiovascular
Care of the Indonesian Heart Association to maintain and improve core
competencies of all health-care personnel working in this field. This
coming year is the fifth time we organize this bi-annual meeting,
exploring along the theme “Evidence-Based Management in
Acute Cardiovascular Care and The Challenge in Developing
Country”. In this meeting we will provide a rich scientific program
where there is something for everyone; cardiologists, other spe-
cialists, general physicians, cardiovascular nurses, inten-
sive care nurses, cardiovascular technicians, research
scientist and members of allied professional. We cordially
invite all the stakeholders in the acute and intensive
cardiovascular care to participate and also to develop
this field together.
