What Is Decsriptive Text?

Descriptive text is a text which describes the characteristics of a place, a person,


an animal or a thing. Descriptive text has a purpose to explain, describe, or reveal
a person, animal, place or thing.
Generic Structure of Descriptive Text

Identification
• Identification is the introduction of a person, place, animal or object
that will be described.

Description
• Description is the part of the text which contains a description of
something such as animal, things, place or person by describing its
features, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describe.
Elephants are the largest animal in
the world. They are from Asia and Africa. They
