3. Composition/Information on Ingredients
Chemical characterization:
This material is defined as a mixture
After ingestion
When swallowed, drink lots of water, milk or tepid salt water, do not try to induce vomiting, seek
medical aid immediately (show label if possible). Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person!
After inhalation
If breathing discomfort or dizzyness occur, remove victim to fresh air, administer artificial
respiration if breathing is stopped. If rapid recovery does not occur obtain medical attention
immediately.
Extinguishing media
Appropriate extinguishing media : Dry chemicals, foam, or CO2
Inappropriate extinguishing media : Straight streams of water
Unusual fire & explosion hazard : Possible explosion hazard of heated containers
LEM 168 MR
Warning
Spilled liquid is flammable. Take extra caution to avoid fire.
General
Run off or release to sewer, water way or ground is forbidden. Inform authorities if large amounts
are involved.
Suitable absorbent: sand, earth, saw dust, or dedicated spill control material.
Personal protection
No smoking, drinking & eating while handling this product. Do not breathe vapor. Wear usual
protective equipment for handling chemicals (see Section 8). Remove sources of ignition. Keep
unnecessary people away. Isolate hazard area and deny entry.
Usage precautions
Use ONLY in a well ventilated working area! Avoid splash filling, use a vapor recovery system
when filling. Open container slowly to relive any internal pressure.
Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Change contaminated clothing when required. Wear
necessary protective equipment as mentioned on Section 8 below. No smoking, drinking & eating
while working with this product. Use away from possible sparks, open fire or high temperature
equipment to reduce fire risk.
Take precautionary measures against static discharge and fire risk! Ground and bond all
equipment. Restrict line velocity when transferring between containers to avoid static electricity
build up & static discharge.
Storage precautions
Store in a cool and dry place. Avoid from heat and direct sunlight. Close the container tightly to
prevent solvents leakage. Recommended container material: treated mild steel or stainless steel.

Components with specific control parameters for workplace :
Subtance Limit/Standard Source
Toluene ( Cas No.108-88-3) TWA 50 ppm ACGIH
TWA 200 ppm
Methyl acetate ( Cas No.79-20-9) ACGIH
STEL 250 ppm
Protective equipment
Respirators :
Use NIOSH/MSHA approved respirators with organic vapor cartridge to protect against organic
gas. Local exhaust ventilation may be required
Protective gloves :
Use impervious gloves. Please note that in practice the working life of chemical resistant gloves
may be considerably reduced as a result of many influencing factors such as temperature.
Suitable risk assesment should be carried out by the end user. If signs of wear and tear are
noticed then the gloves should be replaced.
Eye protection :
Use safety goggles or face shield for better protection.
Other protection :
Wear appropriate clothing to prevent direct skin contact. Operator working with product must
wear full length clothing to prevent direct skin contact.
Reactivity
None if used for intended purpose

Stability
Normally stable at correct storage condition.
Conditions to avoid
Keep away from ignition, spark, heat, and high temperature.
Incompatible materials
None in particular.
Inhalation
Possible narcotic effect through inhalation. Danger of irritation of mucous membranes and
absorption of solvent. The acute toxicity of organic solvents is characterized by depression of
central nervous system, signs of overexposure are headache and dizziness, leading to
unconsciousness. Chronic over exposure may cause impairment of nerve system, liver and
kidney damage. Watch out also for overexposure signs such as headache and dizziness.
Skin contact
Prolonged skin contact may cause irritation, dermatitis and to a small extent, absorption of
solvent.
Eye contact
Causing irritation and discomfort.
Ingestion
An amount of solvents aspirated into respiratory system during ingestion or from vomiting may
cause pulmonary edema . Amounts of solvents ingested can cause coma, kidney & liver damage,
and metabolic changes.
Acute Toxicity:
This adhesive used raw materials which have acute toxicity :
Substance LD50 Oral LD50 Dermal LC50 Inhalation
Toluene ( Cas No. 108-88-3 ) 5000 mg/kg 12,400 mg/kg 12.5 – 28.8 mg/l
(Rat) (Rabbit) (Rat ; 4h)
> 5,000 mg/kg > 5000 mg/kg >49mg/l
Methyl acetate ( Cas No.79-20-9)
(Rat) (Rabbit) (Rat ; 4 h)

Eco toxicological data
Toxicity is expected to be low based on insolubility in water. Possible long term adverse effects to
aquatic organisms are possible if repeated exposure occurred.
Degradability
Not biodegradable.
Additional information
Avoid release to the environment. In the case of leakade or disposal, follow the notices in Section
6 and Section 13.
Material
Confirm disposal procedures with environmental engineer and local regulations. Please dispose
in approved waste disposal plant. This product should be incinerated in a special waste
incinerator after consultation with site operator professionally trained in disposing waste and/or
with the responsible authority.
Uncleaned packaging
Completely empty containers. Containers may be recycled or re-used for similar product.
Observe local regulations. Use organic solvent as cleaning agent. Packaging that cannot be
cleaned should be disposed as product waste. Closed residue container can cause explosion
hazard if exposed to spark or heat. Sent cleaned container to metal reclaimer facility.
Please refer to local DOT (Department of Transportation) regulation for details and compliance in
specific areas. Any transportation practice must be in compliance with local and national laws and
regulations.
Ensure this material is in compliance with local and national laws and regulations.
For more information regarding compliance with regulations, please contact the manufacturer.
