Summary 13 A Birthday party

Julie's eighteenth birthday and her parents throw a formal party to celebrate the red day of their
daughter's life. In fact, the day after the party would also be a sad day, not only for Julie, but also
for many of her friends who would be at the party. It was the day that the final school exam
results would be announced, the moment of truth when some careers would start and others
would be abandoned. It might not be the best time to throw a party, but Julie wanted to
celebrate her birthday on the actual day, rather than delaying it until the results were announced.
Most of Julie's fellow students were happy to have something fun to do while waiting for the
announcement, everyone was determined to forget the outcome, no matter what news the next
day brought.

wealthy and could afford to have a nice party. No cost saved. It wasn't long before the party
started and some of the girls had gathered at Julie's house so they could enjoy the fun of getting
