Treatment 1
Log Line: Showing a timeline of creativity, from start to finish using colours.
Synopsis
Beginning
Synopsis
Middle
This is where you find & make your idea. A part of creativity is mixing ideas. This is what we want to show in the film (the
mixing and making element).
- Kaleidoscope colours, this is when you have found your idea its colourful which is symbolising the creativity.
- Paint being mixed around in a cement mixer or bowl.
Part of the middle is where you get stuck. This can be shown by..
- Scrunching up a piece of paper/painting.
Synopsis
End
The end is where you get the ball rolling again, regain motivation and start to complete your idea. Film ideas are:
- Get the ball rolling which is a ball with a sad face and then you roll it into a happy one.
- The kaleidoscope.
It then ends in your idea/ in lots of creativity.
- Colourful rainbow rain.
- Messy paint standing back from a finished art piece or something that has been made.
Branch Possibilities
- Link to recipes of ‘creativity’ what we think creativity means.
- Link to a page giving help/ tips on how to stay focused.
- Link to an inspirational website where you can find ideas to help you.
- Clickable branch of being distracted or stuck.
- Mix paints to make a nice colour (its gone right) or mix paints to make a horrible
colour (it went wrong).
Characters
Yes, ordinary people who are gathering items or taking photos.
Target Audience
Those who want to create art or paint. Probably more female.
Rationale
That it's relatable with the getting stuck as well as stopping &
starting. It is also eye catching with using colours and your are
following the story through of what happens to these colours.
Its unpredictable.
Visual Elements
Gathering Inspiration
This can be footage of someone taking pictures or gathering items. This can be
filmed outside, they could be taking pictures of colourful things or gathering
craft items or magazines for ideas. It can be a full body shot or it can be a shot of
their hands. This can either be looking down on the hands from the persons
perspective or a side on shot. Props needed will be a camera for the person to
hold.
Visual Elements
Colourful Rain
This will use a light box and either a watering can or tins on string with holes in
so that either coloured water or paint can be put in there to create the colourful
rain. The shot will possibly be shot from up through the light-box/glass so the
rain is coming towards the camera or shot downwards looking onto the light-box
watching the rain fall.
Audio Elements
- Crunching paper sounds
- Relaxing music
- Sounds of the item (ASMR)
