Approach and Solution:

The first step which the company should take up to create a positive atmosphere is to keep fixed
working hours with frequent short breaks. Till the employees have to work from home, the working
time can be increased with reduced number of working days. This will give the employees more time
to cool down and spend enough time with their families in these times of stress and uncertainty. In
addition to this, the company can take some measures to reduce the work pressure.

Throughout the week, the company can arrange optional recreational activities for the employees
including Yoga sessions, Zumba workshops, etc. The weekends can include activities for employees
and their families where we can have standup comedy sessions. Hobby groups can be created where
employees can spend some time to lighten themselves. We can give our employees subscription to
all the famous OTT platforms, so that they can enjoy their free time with their families. A new
incentive scheme can be formulated to give the employees an additional motivation in their work.
We can also arrange regular sessions on how to keep ourselves fit and healthy in the time of COVID
pandemic. The work week can be reduced to 5 days a week, with the weekend completely off. These
measures will help the employees reduce the anxiety and work pressure.

The next step is to bring about changes to improve the coordination among different teams. We can
introduce boundary spanning roles, wherein one person from each team will act as an integrator.
The responsibility of the integrators will be to be a point of contact between different teams and
maintain a steady flow of information. Daily sync-up meetings can be organized at the start or end of
the day, wherein everyone is made of the tasks happening in the company.
