English Medium Schools in Darchula:

Introduction:
Darchula district is one of the beautiful district of far
western of Nepal. It is not equal like other districts
of Nepal. Many governmental schools open after
the establishment of democracy or end of Rana
reign in Nepal. There is not so long history of
education in Nepal. After the end of Rana reign, our
country Nepal entered in bright age from the Dark
Age, as a result many schools were opened after
2007 BS in Darchula.
There were not any English Boarding
Schools until few decades in Darchula. People
used to send their children to read and write in
another district of terai and India. Before few
years, some English medium schools were
opened in this district, which have been
providing qualitative education since many
years and many parents are attracted to send
their children to admit English medium schools
nowadays. In really English medium schools
have played great important role in the
development of education in Darchula.
Objectives:
There are some major problems of English
Boarding schools which are given below.
1.Lack of infrastructure facilities.
2.To ignore from the government.
3.Les support from the public.
4.Lack of teaching materials.
5.Lack of appropriate management.
6.Others.

Suggestions:
We cannot forget the great contribution of
English Medium schools of this district. They
are providing qualitative education to the
children. We can give some suggestions which
are given below.
 1.It would be better to increase material
facilities.
2.It would be better to manage appropriate
play ground for the students.
3.It would be better to manage for
scholarship and hostel.
4.It would be better to manage extra
activities, educational tour, etc.

The Present Situation:

There are different kinds of challenges of
English medium schools although they are
providing qualitative education. Some schools
are running only grade 1-5, some are running
in grade 1-8, and only few schools are running
in grade 1-10. Some of the schools have a few
students. There are 387 girls and 608 boys
altogether 995 students ECD, in grade 1-5
there are 842 girls and 1505 boys altogether
2347 students, in grade 6-8 there are 119 girls
and 237 boys altogether 356 students, in
grade 9 there are 16 girls and 38 boys
altogether 54 students, and in grade 10 there
are 24 girls and 36 boys altogether 60
students. This is not satisfactory number of
students, they are increasing every year.
Some schools have their own buildings, the
facilities of desk and bench of the students.
