Read chapters 5 and 6. Choose the correct ending for these sentences?
Read Chapters 7 and 8. Here are some untrue sentences. Change then into
true sentences.
What is going to happen after the end of the story? What do you think?

1. Choose the odd out in these groups of words.

2. Fill in the chart with information about the people. Then use the
information to write a short description of each person. Use pronouns (he,
she, etc.) and join your sentences with and were possible.
-Sarah is 19.She is tall. She has dirty face and big blue eyes. She works in a
hospital. She wants be a doctor.
-Anna is 50, she is tall; she has long face and big blue eyes. She is a doctor.
-Hassan is 20, he is very tall, and he has nice face and beautiful dark eyes. No job.
-Inspector Aziz is 55; he is big, he has brown eyes and nice smiling. He is a police.
3. The chapters in this book do not have titles. Here is a list of titles. Choose
one for each chapter.
1. Anna- Because his eyes are very big and dark, and his body is always moving.
2. Aziz-Go to Stephen's hotel early tomorrow morning. Show this tube of
toothpaste to him. It has heroin in it.
3. Anna- I think that he takes heroin.
4. Aziz- I think that you are right. So I want you to help me.
5. Aziz- I'm going to be outside the door. I’m going to listen to what he says.
6. Anna- Of course, Inspector. What can I do?
7. Aziz- Why do you think that?
8. Aziz- You’re a doctor. What do you think about Stephen, Mrs Harland?
9. Anna- but how can that help?
5. Here is a new illustration for the story. Find the best place in the story to
put the picture, and answer these questions.
1. The law in this story says that people who bring heroin into the country must die.
Is this right?
a) Yes. The law must punish people who do bad things.
2. When Hassan hit the police car, his father bought a new car for the police car,
his father bought a new car for the police and Hassan didn’t go to prison. Was this
right?
c) Perhaps. Rich people can pay, so they don’t go to prison. But what about poor
people?
1. ‘It was my toothpaste,’ Hassan said to the court. Why did he say that? Was he
right to say it? He said that it was his toothpaste because he loved Sarah but it
wasn't right.
2. ‘Of course I love Sarah,’ Stephen said to Anna. Do you think that was true?
Why, or why not? I think that Stephen loved Sarah but he wanted to kill Hassan.
Summary
In the afternoon, the jury and the judge decided to continue the next day at 10
o'clock in the morning. Stephen says that the guilty was Hassan.
Mr Cheng went to talk to the policeman because he wanted to know what made
that phone call. Then, Stephen was very nervous when was with Anna and
Mr.Cheng and say that meet to a man. Anna Harland went to the prison and talked
to Sarah. Sarah explained to Anna that she was pregnant, and also, she told that
Anna talked to Inspector Aziz and he said that he needed her help. At night, Anna
went to Stephen's hotel. There, Stephen told Anna that he wanted to kill Hassan,
