Tips for reading better

Starting a new hobbie could sound hard for many. If you want to start one you have to

choose one about what makes you happy.

Read every day: You formed a habit of reading a variety of books. You almost ritualized

it, even if it was for a brief 5 minutes.

Eliminate distractions. Get off the computer, turn off the tv, and cut out the music. It´s

very difficult to read, specially if you´re reading something difficult when your attention

is divided.

Skim first and then read closely. If you´re reading something difficult, don´t worry too

much about spoiling the ending for yourself. if you read a paragraph and have to start

the paragraph over, consider skimming over the whole story, If you are interesting in

reading book just pick a short story first.

Picture what you're reading. Think of yourself as a movie director and picture the action

while you're reading it. Cast the movie with actors, if it helps, and really try to picture

the events as realistically as possible.

Vary your reading rate to suit the difficulty and type of writing of the text. Poor readers

always read at the same slow rate. An efficient reader speeds up for easier material and

slows down for the hard. Some things were not meant to be read quickly at all. Legal

material and very difficult text should be read slowly.
