Red Riding Hood

Red Riding Hood is a tale that /tellsus/ about a little girl, who
/lift/ with her mother in the woods. One day her mother said her
– I want you to take some cakes to your grandmother– So little
girl went to her grandmother’s house. In her way she was /stopt/
by a wolf. He /wantid/ to know where the girl was going, but she
didn’t tell him anything. She quickly went on her way But the
wolf was smart and /arraifd/ first at the house.

The grandmother saw the wolf. She ran out and /lookt/ for help.
A few minutes later the little girl /arraifd/ at the house
meanwhile the wolf /pretendid/ to be the grandmother.

She was /surprist/ because she /norist/ that her grandmother's


eyes and ears were very big. She /askt/ her grandmother what
going on with her big teeth, so the wolf /crait/ “these are all the
better to eat you with,” he ran and /followt/ her - At that moment,
grandmother and a woodsmean came running into the room and
/cheist/ the wolf. He ran and ran very faster and was never to be
seen again.

Trivia
Halloween is a spooky and scary festival, it is /celebratid/ on
October thirty first. This holiday has /Keltic/ origins and is more
than two Thousand years old. To celebrate, people do a lot of
activities such as dress up as witches, ghosts, devils or famous
people. One popular activity for the kids is “trick-or /trIring/"
this means, give them a treat (usually some sweets), or you'll
play a trick on you. The teenagers often celebrate this date
/visiring/ /hauntid/ Houses.

The games are also very important in this holiday! One popular
game is a Scavenger hunt this is a team game that is /playt/
outside. Another common Halloween game is apple bobbing it
consist of putting some apples in a large /beisin/ of water and
catch them with your teeth.

One the most important symbols is the Jack O’Lantern this is a


/pAmpkin/ with candles inside. The most common Halloween
Food is the toffee apple, so, the apples are /coverd/ in sticky
sugar syrup. Finaly, there are some superstitions around
Halloween, for example one superstition says that seeing a
spider on Halloween is a /sain/ that the spirit of a /lovd/ one is
watching over you.

CHAPTER 4 – Man with a knife
(22 – 24)
Dan ran up to Sue and asked if she was ok. She told Dan that he had to follow the jogger, at
the same time she called a police car on her radio. Dan ran after Peter Jones. While Dan
chased the jogger, he informed Jim of his location in order to confirm if Jim could see the
jogger. (22)

Jim could see Peter Jones, the robber ran very fast! When the jogger saw Jim, he got into a
boat. Jim run and got into the boat too. Jim identified himself as a police officer, but the
jogger hit Jim and he fell into the water. The boat went across the river. (23)

Dan saw the thief went into a café. Dan helped Jim and together ran toward the café. They
went across the bridge and ran to the cafe. Jim went behind the café and Dan went in.
In that place Jim stopped Peter Jones but He had a knife in his hand (24)

Jim held out his hand quickly, he demanded Peter Jones the knife, but the jogging threatened
to kill him. Jim could see Dan behind Peter. Dan walked out of the door, very slowly and
quietly, suddenly Dan took Peter’s arms from behind and Jim took the knife from his hand.
Dan found the money in Peter’s pants. (24)
