Guide to Finding Jobs and Internships for College Students

You will not get a job/internship in a day or a in a week. Job/Internship Hunt is a tiring process. But
don’t give up. This experience is going to teach you soo many things, and make you stronger. Let’s
go.

Tips and Tricks

 Reach out to at least 20 people/recruiters a day for referrals.

 There are tons of awesome companies, you have not heard of before. People just focus on
big names. There are hundreds of awesome companies that have great work culture and
great pay, but they don’t spent much on marketing, since they have a niche business.

These secret gems can be found by the following the given method: Open Profiles of people
with a similar job role that you desire and note down the different companies they have
worked in apply to those.

You will encounter abundance of awesome companies through this way ( Plus they have less
competition).

PS: I love my current company, and I found it through this method only.

 Open your mobile phone, note down all the applications in your phone. Now apply to all
these companies.
Every mobile app is most probably a software based company and might just be in need of a
software developer.

Example:
1) MakemyTrip
2) AirBnB
3) Red Bus

Etc.

Every product around is a company. Your credit card, your electric appliance, your watch.
Everything. So just note them down.

 Apply to whichever job is relevant to you on LinkedIn. All of them. Quantity is key. I applied
to soo many companies, that I still get test links and rejection emails (After 3 Months).

This List is in no way exhaustive. It’s just a starting point. There are hundreds of other
companies that I have missed. Keep applying and keep hustling. You will land a
job/internship for sure. That’s my guarantee.
