Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the recently discovered
corona virus.Most people who catch COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms
and will recover without special treatment. Each person has a different response to COVID-
19. Most people who are exposed to the virus will experience mild to moderate symptoms
and will recover without the need to be hospitalized.

The most common symptoms: fever, cough, fatigue

Slightly uncommon symptoms: discomfort and pain, sore throat, diarrhea,conjunctivitis (red
eyes), headache, loss of taste or smell, rash on the skin, or discoloration of the fingers or
toes
Serious symptoms: difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure in the
chest , loss of ability to speak or move.
Seek medical help immediately if you develop serious symptoms. Always contact the doctor
or health facility you wish to go to before visiting.People with mild symptoms who are
declared healthy should perform self-care at home.The average symptom will appear 5-6
days after a person is first infected with this virus, but it could also be 14 days after being
infected.
Corona virus transmission can also occur if people inhale droplets that come out of coughs
or breaths (sneezing) from people who have the Corona virus. Therefore, it is important for
us to keep a distance of more than 1 meter from people who are sick.
There are people who have a condition that is more prone to contracting COVID-19. This
vulnerable group is people who have comorbidities (comorbid), are elderly, have low
immunity, and are obese.
If possible, do not use public transportation. Always keep a minimum distance of 1 meter
from other people including in health facilities and wash your hands frequently with soap
and running water or if this is not available, use hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol).
