 70/30 rule

 Take advantage of the teacher’s directions (TD)

 There are 25 slides per lesson in Levels 1 & 2. The average


teaching time per slide is 1 minute

 Whenever possible, extend learning by asking level-


appropriate questions about text or pictures. Relate content to
student’s life

 Lead the student to produce target language multiple times for


increased retention

 Writing using the whiteboard pen can be time consuming.


Instead, encourage the student to use a piece of paper or their
own whiteboard
