WORKSHOP

Kasumi-tsunagi
HOSTED BY SASHIKO.LAB
January - 2021
Nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Kazue.

I'm hosting sashiko workshops and private craft tours in

Kyoto, Japan. I’ve been teaching sashiko to tourists from
all over the world.

I started online workshop in June 2020.

After the outbreak of covid-19, I started to teach online so
anyone can learn sashiko at anytime, from anywhere.
About the pattern

The meaning of the pattern : Kasumi-tsunagi

“Kasumi” represents haze or mist, and “tsunagi” means “connected” in Japanese.
“Kasumi-tsusnagi” is the pattern which represents the layers of haze floating in the air.

This pattern consists of simple straight and curved lines. This simplicity enables it to be
combined with other sashiko patterns. In the workshop, I will show you several
examples of the combination with different patterns so you can enjoy this pattern more!
